“Will definitely stay again!”
After reading many reviews of W22 and spotting potential issues, I stayed here and found it exceptional for the price. The lobby is lovely, rooms are pretty, and the second‑floor area offers coffee, laundry, a treadmill, a billiards table, and a sofa. The lobby’s seating and aesthetic are pleasing. I didn’t try the breakfast because Chinatown has plenty of good early‑morning spots. A highlight is the 10‑12 minute walk to the Chao Phraya river boats for hop‑on‑off tours, which makes exploring Bangkok enjoyable. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Chinatown. The area is rich with traditional Thai‑Chinese shops, which is cheaper than malls elsewhere. I found no real downsides; the only minor wish was a small pool, but that’s fine. The staff are very friendly, even the door‑security people are sweet. Tour operators are pleasant, though one tried to upsell at a higher price than I’d get via Grab or by doing the tour myself—okay. I didn’t use the Blue Line train (I used Grab instead) but noticed other city locations were more convenient for BTS trains, whereas this hotel was nowhere near that quality. I wish the half‑day extra cost of room extension had gone to 6 pm, as it did at my next hotel, but here it was 5 pm—an extra hour of rest was nice.
