“Lovely hotel and great food, badly let down by how they dealt with the ants in our room.”
The food was lovely and breakfast was great every morning. The spa is beautiful and all the staff we dealt with were friendly. We really loved most things about this hotel and would have stayed again. However, on our first day we found about 100 ants everywhere in our room, even in the bed. Someone came and dusted insecticide powder on the floor, which was still there when we checked out six days later. No one returned to clean it up or explain what it was. We weren't offered a different room and no apology was offered. The electric shutter in the room didn't work either. We know ants happen in Spain and wouldn't rate a hotel down just for that, but the subsequent issues bothered us. We paid £1400 for six nights of hard-earned money and expected someone to come back, clear it up and make sure we were okay.
