The spot is right in the middle of everything, with an amazing view that makes waking up a pleasure. The room felt cozy and comfortable, so I didn’t mind spending a few extra nights there.

The house itself is pretty basic but the host was fantastic, always quick to answer any request and keeping the open kitchen tidy. It sits on a stunning sea‑front spot with a great view, though you’ll have to climb a lot of stairs – not ideal if you have mobility issues. The days were scorching, but the beachfront location let you jump in the water and the huge outdoor shower was a lifesaver.

I only needed a place to crash before my early flight, but ended up loving the Ribeira neighborhood – lively at night with people chatting on the beach. The accommodation was spotless, the bed super comfy for a quick nap, and the bathroom and Wi‑Fi were solid; the kitchen was fully equipped even though I didn’t use it. Being right on the sand made it feel like a mini‑vacation despite the short stay.
