The breakfast offered wonderful views of the bay.
“We are already looking forward to our next stay at the iconic Lighthouse Inn! Maybe next week...”
The breakfast was excellent—hot and fresh, with plenty of options, though I wish there had been both bacon and sausage every morning. The breakfast staff, front desk, and the bartenders in the evenings were all fantastic and friendly. We’re already planning to come back. The lobby felt like stepping back in time on a movie set, almost magical, and reminded me of “Somewhere In Time” with Christopher Reeve. Our walks along the ocean front and the pier were unforgettable, and the porpoises in the mornings at Rockport Beach were amazing. The only hiccup during our 3‑night stay was a short, grumpy older maintenance man who confronted us while we were relaxing by the pool lounge chairs the first morning, with our small service dog in his cart wearing a bright vest. He rushed over to our spot and, in front of other guests, reluctantly told us that it was okay to have the dog by the pool but not in the water—something we never intended to do. I’m a disciplined, senior disabled military retiree and a returning guest from last year, so this felt like an over‑the‑top power play. Other guests nodded sympathetically, and there were no more incidents with the “hallway proctor” after that.

The location was very nice for us, but the bar and restaurant were closed on Sunday, the phones didn’t work, and the air conditioner was very, very loud.

I loved it so much, absolutely nothing could be improved.

All the staff were friendly and accommodating whenever I asked about the facilities or the area. The registration team, wait staff, food attendants, and bartender were all excellent. I even booked a follow‑up stay for November while I was checking out. However, the room lacked a TV remote or instructions, and there was no printed layout of the hotel. More handicap signs would be helpful, and the bar could stay open until 10 pm instead of 9 pm on weekdays.
