“Good for a single night solo trip, low price, but be prepared.”
The stay cost only €14 per night, which covered a roof over your head, a hay bed, kitchen access, a fridge, an indoor warm shower, toilets, and an outdoor shower. A barbecue sits near the Shepherd's Wagon, and parking is free; at this price you won’t find anything comparable elsewhere in Germany. The surroundings are quiet, and farm animals are available to interact with. The owner keeps extra sleeping bags in the barn for those who forget theirs, and there’s a bookshelf inside for readers. It’s a unique barn‑stay experience. On the downside, the courtyard and staircase to the barn were very dark at night, so I had to use a flashlight to navigate; a small light outside would help. WiFi was spotty, and there were several insects in the barn, living room, and kitchen. An unpleasant odor lingered inside the building, making the kitchen, indoor toilets, and bath uncomfortable. Although car parking was available directly in front of the property, I was asked to move my car to a different lot away from the property. I booked two nights but left after the first night.
