Staying on a boat is a unique experience; sitting by the boat in the morning and evening was very relaxing. A nice café nearby serves breakfast, and public transport links are excellent. Communication with the host was perfectly fine. The pump‑WC, however, doesn’t work well—its system isn’t fully sealed and drains suboptimally, which is uncomfortable when traveling with several people. There are also harbor toilets in the basement without windows, and the WC cabin contains sinks for brushing teeth.

“Früher abgereist aufgrund fehlender Informationen”

The location was very good. We rented the boat from 07. to 09.08. at Europahafen Bremen. Unfortunately, we only found out on site that on 9.8. a triathlon would be held, so the area was closed from 7:00 to 15:30. That meant we couldn’t leave or depart the boat during that period because the triathletes were jumping into the water from that jetty. Since we had booked until 9.8., this was a major restriction on the agreed usage that we were unaware of at the time of booking. We’re disappointed that we weren’t informed beforehand; knowing this earlier would have let us change our booking or plans. The host stopped responding after my inquiry.

The location, the boat, the equipment, and the very friendly hosts were all great, but there were no towels provided.

The cabin was cozy, especially the sleeping area, and having an entire boat to ourselves felt pretty special; the bathrooms were close and easy to reach, and the spot was excellent—just a 20‑minute bus or tram ride into town. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work, but that’s not the hosts’ fault.

Living on a boat was a fantastic experience and a thrilling adventure; the host was very helpful and accommodating. Using the toilets was a bit different, but that’s normal on a boat 😄 With two kids aged 15 and 11, the front‑bow sleeping spot was a bit tight, though it would probably work better with younger children.
