The pool is beautiful and the view is stunning, yet the kitchen is barely equipped, making even simple cooking hard; the rooms are very hot with no fan, so the comfort‑to‑price ratio is poor.

The setting over the countryside is incredible, the interiors are peaceful and beautiful, and the swimming pool is the best, but the kitchen could use better equipment.

The Charentaise is gorgeous and staying there was a pleasure; Isabelle, the proprietor, is welcoming and very friendly, though I felt bad for her having to listen to me butcher her language😂. What’s not to like?
