The bedding was excellent, the accommodation was pretty and well arranged, and the area was quiet; L'Auberge’s design blends modernity and retro nicely, with a friendly and smiling staff. A minor drawback is that the heating plates feel a bit old if you plan to cook; another important point is that the walls are fairly thin, which can disturb light sleepers, though the noise didn’t bother me even during the Feria de Dax.
