“Ein bisschen wie zu Besuch bei Freunden.”
What makes this place special isn’t just its immediate proximity to the Golden Temple (just across the street), but especially the personal care from Anoop and his wife. That level of warmth and personal attention is rare; after a short time you feel like visiting friends. I also recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner on the rooftop terrace overlooking Harimandir Sahib. Anoop’s wife prepares the food herself with great love and the finest ingredients, which you can taste. Some guests noted that a few rooms lack windows, but that wasn’t an issue for me; I probably wouldn’t have opened a window anyway because of city noise and exhaust.
Beautiful location just 3 minutes from the Golden Temple; from the terrace the view of the temple is magnificent. The city location is very convenient! The rooms are simple but clean, and nothing is missing; it’s a guest house, not a hotel, but it’s excellent. There is nothing that isn’t good—everything feels like home.
Good location near the shrine. Cleanliness is average, which is standard for India. Plus the towels are clean. Unfortunately the bathroom was dirty and the bedding was not fresh.
“Mr anoop hotel owner and his staff very co operative. Best place to stay.”
Prime location: the hotel sits extremely close to Sri Harmandir Sahib, which is perfect for early‑morning or late‑night visits to the Golden Temple without worrying about long commutes or traffic. Temple views: the property offers wonderful viewpoints overlooking the area near the Golden Temple complex. The only downside is traffic caused by the close proximity to the temple.
Very well situated, just 20 steps from one of the Golden Temple entrances. The staff is very kind and always ready to help; I was welcomed by a caretaker at 2 am! Communication was clear all the time. The room had a hot shower and a strong AC to relax after a long walk on the busy streets of Amritsar. I liked everything! Just one tip: bring earplugs (like I did) to sleep because even overnight cars and motorbikes will pass by honking loudly. This is something you’ll have to deal with basically anywhere you stay in Amritsar.
