“Comfortable and very decent for those working from the room”

The rooms were spotless and housekeeping came daily, plus there’s a nice ice machine by the office. I worked from the room, so the Wi‑Fi was super handy. The only downside was the freeway noise—cars were audible even without the TV or radio on.

“Was fine for a clean place to sleep, good for dogs.”

The room was clean and pets were allowed free of charge. However, a $60 cash deposit was required, and the water pressure was terrible—only a spray hose from the kitchen sink had any pressure. The place was a bit loud, which you’d expect given its location.

“Poor check-in and room cleanliness”

The only bright spot at this Motel 6 was the AC. Unfortunately, mosquitoes swarmed the room and small cockroaches were everywhere. When we arrived, the front desk was empty; after a 10‑hour trip, a quick check‑in seemed essential. The woman who finally showed up about 15 minutes later didn’t even greet us, seemed annoyed, and looked more like housekeeping because she carried a cart of sheets. Customer service was off‑kilter. The vending machine for water and sodas was ancient, accepted only cash, and refused tap or card. We stayed there only to sleep.

We spent two nights here as our base for Sequoia and King’s Canyon. The place was reasonably clean and the receptionist was pleasant. Check‑in and check‑out were very fast, and the price was good value. The motel sits on the main road, so traffic noise is constant.
