The family running the lodge were incredibly friendly, even looking up bus schedules for us and making sure we could get around easily. The room was spotless and the meals were delicious. I wish the prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner were listed in advance; many backpackers like me are trying to save money, so that would be a huge help.

The stay at Junge Lodge was super nice. The family is incredibly warm and helpful. I arrived in the evening and was served a super tasty dinner. The next morning the host organized a safari just for me and prepared a great breakfast 🐘 The room is also very clean, spacious and has a modern bathroom. I highly recommend the stay 😊 thanks to Methum, his father and the whole family 😊

“Wonderful stay”
The lodge owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. They gave us a delightful tour of their fruit orchard after treating us to a fresh mango smoothie. We had dinner with them, and the food was not only delicious but generously portioned. Their 15-year-old son expertly arranged all our transfers and organized our safari to Udawalawe National Park—the picnic breakfast basket they prepared exceeded all expectations! Our room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. We highly recommend this wonderful place
