Everything was absolutely perfect—an amazing place with staff who were professional and polite.
“Lovely Palazzo in a Great Location”
The location is great, right in the heart of Gallipoli, with a nice, very large terrace off the room and unique, well‑decorated common areas that give the property an old‑world charm. The continental breakfast is excellent, the air conditioning in the room works perfectly (essential in late August), and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The palazzo sits in a courtyard with other businesses, and the entrance is on a higher floor, so it’s hard to find and a challenge to climb the stairs with heavy luggage. Cars can’t enter the area where the hotel is, so you’ll have to walk about two blocks after being dropped off on a main road. The dining rooms and other common areas are not air‑conditioned. My room and bathroom were small (cubicle shower) and somewhat dark, with very high ceilings and windows/shutters at the top that open by pulleys. If the temperatures were cooler, the terrace would have been brighter. Because of the scorching August heat, it was difficult to enjoy the terrace and common areas, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
“Recomendable”
The receptionist was very friendly. The experience was different, with palace‑style furnishings. The access staircase was a drawback.
The place was fantastic. We were lucky to enjoy this palace all to ourselves! No complaints.
The building is very beautiful, an old structure where every room feels like a museum. The breakfast is magnificent with plenty of local pastries. The staff are very pleasant. It’s located right in the center of the old town, just a two‑minute walk to the sea. We would gladly return.
