“Would never book again”
The location is the best thing about Aussie Resort, sitting perfectly at Burleigh, close to shops, surf club, restaurants and Paddock; however, because it is an older property and expectations were low, the standard is really poor. The pool area is small and congested with the pool shaded in the afternoon. I stayed in a one‑bedroom apartment and the furniture was extremely worn, dirty, smelly or beaten up, so I avoided the lounge and couldn’t open the balcony door to let in fresh air; the kitchen was functional, but the bed was unbelievably hard, so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep and it really needs a topper or something. It was a completely flat hard surface, as shown in my attached photos. I was booked for three nights but changed to alternate accommodation after the first night, regardless of any chance of a refund, which I didn’t seek. I could never recommend this accommodation and I really hesitate to post negative reviews, but it is absolutely warranted here; people need to know this to make their decisions.
