The location in Legian is amazing and the price is good for the quality. Other guests can be quite noisy.

The spot is convenient in the city center and only a 10‑minute walk to the beach. The capsules are super comfy and the dorm has large lockers. Special shout‑out to the rooftop pool. The shared bathroom floor is always wet – maybe add mats for shower exit?

“Simply horrible”

I stayed at the only hostel that made me want to leave immediately. The bathrooms were filthy, always smelling like urine, and I never showered without my flip‑flops. After six months of cheap hostels and homestays across Asia, including three months in India, I’ve seen my share of subpar accommodations, but this place was simply disgusting. The “capsule beds” were as thin as air, and the curtains in the mixed dorm were almost transparent, with two cameras installed. As a woman, the lack of privacy was extremely uncomfortable. The vibe of the hostel was off; the staff seemed to try to scam guests every few seconds, even for a simple croissant, and they laughed when I walked by. The women on staff appeared a bit sad and concerned, yet they spoke to me in an arrogant, condescending tone. If white women aren’t welcome, that’s understandable, but the hotel should specify that on booking apps and not take our money. The only kind people were the two women at the cafeteria, who moved my clothes and bag without saying anything, and when I asked, it took them two hours to tell me someone else had put them in the bathroom. There was nowhere to dry towels or bikinis; it was apparently forbidden in the room, so they forced me to use a crowded, wet, humid bathroom that smelled awful. The only redeeming feature was the swimming pool, but honestly it wasn’t worth it; everything else really sucks.

The staff were very attentive and the location was great.
