“Great stay”
We were a bit hesitant to book this hotel because of all the comments about difficulties when checking in, but our stay was superb. Checking in is easy if you read the instructions and we had no issues with that at all. The room was modern and clean, had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Breakfast was okay as well, not too many options but always some options to choose from. The spa area could use some instructions since there are no staff available. There are no lockers to put your stuff in so we weren’t really sure if you’re meant to leave your stuff out unattended or take a robe from the spa area and change in your room. The spa area was fine when we were the only people using it, but it was a bit strange when more people came in without bathing suits and robes and used the facilities naked.
The room was beautiful with a view of the mountain and the stream. Breakfast was good. There was no reception staff. The key box was impractical (you queue because none work properly). When it finally opens: no key! Emergency phone. You’re told to open the room with the code sent… so what’s the point of wasting time with the key box? Honestly a terrible welcome. The restaurant is a car.
The hotel is nice and pretty. Check‑in and check‑out were completely automatic, everything went smoothly. It was funny that the entire staff was Hungarian, they were friendly and created a cheerful atmosphere during breakfast. Unfortunately we couldn’t dine at the hotel and the city also has relatively few dinner options.

“Facilities looked great but couldn’t get warm”
Photos of the nice modern room are accurate, however no staff in the hotel (only during breakfast) meant we couldn’t raise issues or ask about local sights or facilities such as using the pool – there was a phone number you could ring for assistance but we didn’t feel comfortable ringing someone when we can’t speak German – it isn’t the same as being able to chat to someone at the front desk. Showers were lukewarm even if only using hot water, could not turn on heaters in the room and no kettle to boil hot water so difficult to have a cup of tea or warm up in the shower or dry clothes (we visited in September).
