“Lovely stay overall - I would return in a heartbeat.”
The place is the quietest spot I've visited since the Maldives; from the pool you can step straight onto a lake that opens onto a pristine beach. I’d suggest wearing water shoes when walking over the rocks in the shallow water. One evening we dined on the hotel restaurant’s terrace alone, and the only sound was the waves – the food was great, but the silence was even better. I stayed mid‑week and was told the hotel might get a bit noisy on weekends because of private events, so keep that in mind when choosing dates. The heated indoor pool, with its mirrored ceiling, was a hit with my daughter, and it’s nice that kids can use it with the adults. The place wasn’t crowded during our visit. Breakfast offered a decent variety but didn’t quite live up to a 5‑star standard; there’s no coffee bar, so guests must use the machine on their own. The bread was dry and seemed defrosted, which was disappointing compared to the fresh loaves found in Ohrid’s bakeries. Food left on the serving dishes cooled down quickly. The room was small, the foldable kids’ bed was hard, and the fridge froze all our drinks, though other amenities were fine. The outdoor infinity pool had a stunning view but was icy cold on both afternoons we tried swimming.
