“Leider erster und letzter Aufenthalt.”
The accommodation is very centrally located, and with bike rentals or even on foot you reach the centre quickly; restaurants, bars and cafés are right nearby, which is great. The room was clean and had a kettle. However, room 114 was right next to the kitchen, where dishes were still being put away late at night and breakfast was prepared just before 6 am, with noisy clattering of dishes. The kitchen is next to the breakfast room, then the lobby and reception, all of which were noticeably audible. Additionally, the ventilation in our bathroom was broken, so it smelled unpleasantly of kitchen fumes in the morning, and it was also unpleasant to have to vent the large business of two people into the interior. When we politely pointed out the issue and asked for another room, the receptionist was not very friendly, interrupted us several times, and made it clear that this is how it is if you book Economy. Another room was only available as an upgrade to a higher category for an extra 300 DKK per night, and a discount was refused. Such service might be acceptable in a cheap hotel or hostel, but not in a normal hotel, even for an Economy room. Fortunately we know the Danes to be friendly and helpful, and there are other hotels in Copenhagen. There is no reason to return to Hotel Nora.
