It sits across from a 7‑11 with helpful staff, but the bathroom is downstairs, the room is tiny for three people with no space for luggage, and the station is a long walk away.

We only needed a place to sleep for one night, arrived at 8 pm, and the owners were sweet and attentive; the room had a single bed and a floor bed that wasn’t the traditional Japanese floor bed we’re used to, feeling more like sleeping on the floor. My husband tried the floor bed, rolled around at 2 am, couldn’t sleep, so we swapped and I tried the floor bed, which was rough. There were no proper pillowcases or sheets.

I didn’t notice it while awake, but the heating unit made a loud noise when I slept, so I couldn’t sleep; I turned it off midway, but the bedding was thin and it was cold.
