Hotel Brioni

The room was dirty, so I walked around in my white socks and saw a shocking color change after a few steps… they cleaned daily! The bathroom was tiny, uncomfortable, and had broken metal parts that could cut you while moving. The air‑conditioning was almost non‑existent and extremely loud; the unit had a hose that ran straight out the window, so you had to keep it open and you could hear not only the machinery but everything outside. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it; the cost should be reduced by at least 60%.

I never had breakfast there; the offer was disappointing and didn’t live up to my expectations, especially given the loud traffic day and night, which was not acceptable for the location, sorry about that.

The hotel is close to the center. The room and toilet bowl were clean, overall cleanliness was good, the bedding was washed and ironed as were the towels, but overall it was dark and dirty.

The location was convenient, but that positive was completely washed out by the severe hygiene issues in the room. The mattress had obvious red‑brown and brown stains that seemed to be blood and fecal matter, which I photographed and reported immediately to the staff. After I reported it, the hotel denied everything and refused any refund, despite repeated contact from Booking support.

The room was fine, with a balcony and a mini‑kitchen. I had to point out that the room wasn’t cleaned daily, and the friendly receptionist didn’t speak Italian. We had to speak English in Trieste, which I found absurd 🤣.
