Room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. There was a small fridge but no kettle. Buffet breakfast was plentiful - cold meats, fruit, breads, cakes, cereals, yoghurts - with eggs cooked to order. Beach towels available from reception and the nearest beach is only 20 mins walk from the hotel. We mainly used Uber if we wanted to get around, but it was only 40 mins walk along the lake side into the main town where there were plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Jens was super helpful - I left my Kindle at the previous hotel and he helped contact them and arrange for it to be sent on to our hotel in Rio for me to collect there
