Best Western Plus Kalamazoo Suites

I liked how large the rooms were, the staff were nice, and there was a gym, pool, breakfast, free parking, and Wi‑Fi—just a standard hotel. Bugs were on the window in my room, so I had to move rooms. I know weather can affect that, but it wasn’t that warm in Kalamazoo, MI, in late September, so there shouldn’t have been stink bugs crawling in the curtains.

They kept the cold pool open a little later for us, but the hot tub was dirty with an inch‑thick scum floating on top. Breakfast was okay. The elevator randomly stopped working, so we had to use the stairs from the 3rd floor, and the window in our room wouldn’t close.

The place is in a great spot with handy amenities and helpful staff, but it’s a bit pricey.

“Large rooms, plenty of space, friendly staff.”

The rooms are roomy, with a mini‑kitchen that has a big fridge and an extra sink; the bathroom door is heavy and shuts loudly on its own, so we had to prop it open with a towel, and the coffee machine in the breakfast area made weak, watery coffee.
