The flat manager was incredibly attentive and delivered everything promised – I’d definitely stay again. However, this was my second visit and the hotel’s overall vibe has slipped; they outsourced a lot of services and the cleaning crew, bar staff, and pier restaurant have all deteriorated. It’s a hotel issue, not the flat itself.

Nobody spoke Spanish or English, only Portuguese – communication was a nightmare. The food was awful, and the town of Barrerinhas is basically a ruin with no real tourist spots or decent restaurants. Despite all that, the locals were surprisingly upbeat and inspiring.

Our stay at Gran Lençóis was fantastic. The apartment had two suites, which made everything so convenient.
