Nightcap at Rose & Crown Hotel

The rooms were comfortable and in a great spot. However, the cleanliness really let it down—mirrors were not clean, there was mold in the shower sink, the sink was dirty, and dust covered the furnishings. It was one of the dirtiest nightcaps I’ve stayed in.

“It was pub accommodation so you get what you pay for.”

The room was clean, the bed was acceptable, and the shower and toilet area was a bit small but still usable; the coffee and milk were supplied, and the remote for the TV worked—something I rarely see, as many hotels have dead batteries or non‑functional remotes. It was close to where I had to be the next day, which was the only reason I chose it. The price was right, and I received a couple of complimentary drinks. On the downside, there was no dining room; I ended up grabbing a take‑away pizza from Little Joeys Pizza, which was a bad move and I should have tried somewhere else. After the pokies closed at two in the morning, a few noisy patrons kept the place lively.

The staff were awesome and friendly, and the room was clean and tidy. It wasn’t overly expensive, but it was still a little bit too much for what it offered.

I stayed in a very clean room and the bar staff were friendly, but I had to go without a hairdryer.

“Exception helpfulness”

The staff were extremely friendly and even helped us up to our room; there was nothing we didn’t like.
