The spot is spot-on for Donnington Park and close to every convenience, so my short stay was easy.

The rooms were basic but clean, and the breakfast was good, but it was a shame that there was no evening restaurant open during a busy weekend.

The marketing was fine, but everything else was terrible: the night manager was unreachable, the room I paid for wasn’t a premium one, the shower was mouldy, the bed was uncomfortable, the wardrobe was packed with a makeshift bed so I couldn’t hang clothes, there was no breakfast, and a surly, unhelpful manager named James made the experience worse.

The staff were lovely and the location was good, but I would have preferred a self‑serve breakfast.
