It was exactly what we were looking for—life at the beach. The traditional rustic building right on the shore was unique. It isn’t a luxury spot, but it offered genuine Greek hospitality. A simple place where local Greeks did their best to make you happy.

We returned from a two‑week holiday on Paros and it was the worst trip we’ve ever had in Greece. The free two‑day stay was a nice gesture, but we don’t think we’ll ever come back or eat that breakfast again. In 25 years of Greek vacations, we’ve never seen anything like this. It’s a shame for Paros and Greece and it certainly doesn’t reflect well on your reputation. We ask that you reimburse us for the breakfast for two people as a goodwill gesture. I also requested an invoice for the 16‑day stay, which has still not arrived. Walter Hein. PS: 1) It was the worst—there’s no superlative for that! 2) The room lighting had many switches but only two worked; after complaining we received replacement bulbs after one week. 3) A shower curtain was missing, causing daily flooding after showers; we had to wear shoes to avoid standing in water. We received the curtain after 10 days. 4) As advertised, several items were missing: a hair dryer (delivered after a week), a TV (never delivered). I messaged the manager on WhatsApp to ask when the last inspection took place, but got no reply. 5) The beach loungers were surprisingly expensive compared to other Greek islands. A 16‑day price of about €1400 feels like a rip‑off—what we call “Nepp” or “Abzocke” in Vienna. No thanks.

The location and view of Golden Beach are great. The breakfast was repetitive, the dishes were dirty and of poor quality, towel and linen changes were almost nonexistent, room cleaning was superficial, staff communication was hard because they don’t speak English, and the Wi‑Fi was weak.

It’s right on the beach. The staff were incompetent, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the equipment didn’t live up to the price.

“Da non ripetere”

The proximity to Golden Beach is a plus. The lack of external cleaning and the fact that the building is old and poorly maintained—like there’s no street lamp or hallway light at night—were noticeable.
