The staff were so nice and helpful—Elouise in particular stood out—but our room had a handheld shower attached to the bath; I would have preferred a shower that could be hooked to a high fixture or a free‑standing shower cubicle.

The English country ambience was wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent.
