“Opera house or Jungle house...”
Opera House is the perfect stay in Hiriketiya if you’re after a super clean, quiet retreat in a lush setting. We were simply amazed by the nature and animals in the neighborhood. On rainy days, monkeys come looking for shelter, and some mornings they might even wake you up strolling and running on the roof! We heard peacocks calling and saw them perform their dance. Be aware the house is surrounded by a large garden, so insects are normal, but we were thrilled to see fireflies at night. The owner is a sweet, caring man who’s always available for anything that might come up or to give you advice for tours or transport. Room: comfortable beds and pillows, a nice ample bathroom, essential wood furniture (exactly like the pictures), A/C and fan to keep you cool. Kitchen: perfect for rainy days! What do you do on a rainy day? Cook Sri Lankan dishes with the owner and eat on the terrace! Thank you Pardeep for the best and warmest welcome we had in Sri Lanka. Nothing negative.
