The accommodation, the hotel’s surroundings, and the breakfast were all great, but there was no wellness area—no indoor pool, sauna, or similar.

The location is good, but you can’t get there by car; if you’re not familiar it’s hard to reach. The beds are comfortable and it’s very quiet. The room service was lacking: we were three and only received towels for two, and the housekeeping never changed them. Breakfast isn’t offered in the hotel; they suggest eating at the old parador, which is farther away. The breakfast was excessively expensive, though the products were of good quality.

The Parador was superb in every way. We stayed in a superior room that was huge with a balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady who made omelettes and pancakes at breakfast and was great. The location is also excellent, right in the center of Santillana del Mar, which itself is beautiful. We would recommend this Parador to anyone looking for a great place to stay in a beautiful spot, just 30 minutes from Santander.

The location is excellent and breakfast is good. There are no tea facilities in the room, and the garage is expensive and hard to maneuver.
