The green grounds were lovely and well‑maintained. The hotel is small, so only a few people stay there, and after a couple of days the staff already knew who lived in which room. The pool was excellent and the food tasty. I missed dairy at breakfast, but buying yogurt from a nearby supermarket was easy.

The place had that old‑Bali vibe, with a beautiful pool and gardens; the air‑con was very cold and the bathroom was gorgeous. The staff were friendly and the service was wonderful. Construction outside the beach area was loud, though that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

Close to the water, though not a beach. Ongoing construction along the foreshore caused noise and other disturbances.
