“Für Zweirad-Fahrer ist Hotel RIEDEL in Zittau die Empfehlung !”
I had to rebook because of overbooking; everything mentioned here refers to Hotel Riedel. It is a bit outside Zittau but caters to two‑wheelers, which suited me as a motorcyclist. My motorcycle was locked in a dedicated hall overnight. The hotel atmosphere was pleasant, the food was good, and the local beer made the evening enjoyable. The double room faced the street and was somewhat noisy. Otherwise everything was clean and fine. Breakfast was very good and extensive. The service ladies had everything under control. The rebooking was due to overbooking; everything here refers to Hotel Riedel. Hotel Schwarzer Bär was supposedly fully booked, and I only received that information by phone after two days, then again via BOOKING. Because of a celebration the hotel was booked, so I was expected at Hotel Riedel.

An old hotel from around 1600, no elevator. The room was clean, the mobile somewhat old, and the bed a bit low. Breakfast was good and everything was included. The staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant food was delicious. The bus stop is just around the corner, which takes you to the station or the narrow‑gauge railway. The only issue was that the restaurant’s menu could have been a bit larger.

We were on a motorcycle tour and were allowed to leave our mopeds there; the staff were friendly and the service was good.
The rooms were clean. The breakfast selection was mediocre; sometimes it took a while to refill items, and there were almost no eggs left. In the evening at the restaurant the ribs were not fresh, just reheated, and the beef goulash was not tender enough.
