The service was excellent and the location very good, and the building itself has a lot of charm and character, but our bedroom lacked a door separating it from the en‑suite, and when we had to leave early to watch a golf tournament the reception was closed so we had nowhere to leave our bags.

The breakfast was good, but the room was cramped and hot, had an unreported side door so we could literally hear our unknown neighbours, and street noise was loud, so we hardly slept; 200 euros for a room with so much noise disturbance.
