The unique setting and Michel’s friendliness made for a fantastic trip: the “Davy Crockett” vibe, the cabin with its cozy wood stove, the wood‑fire BBQ, the beaver‑watching walk, and the kitten named Princess. In France, people say that in cold countries the sun lives in the heart, and that’s what I felt with Michel. If you want a truly Canadian experience, this place is worth the visit. My 10‑year‑old daughter said, “I’ll never forget this place and can’t wait to come back.” That’s what I’m after—memorable moments. Thanks 🙏🏻

“Onvergetelijke ervaring en wat een mooie accommodatie!”

De accommodatie die Michel stukje voor stukje heeft gecreeerd met zijn eigen handen is zeker de moeite waard om te boeken. Niet alleen ziet het er heel tof uit, maar het is ook nog eens een warm welkom wat je krijgt van Michel. De bever excursies rond de schemering, de BBQ rondom het 24 uur 7 draaiende kampvuur, het sterrenkijken in de nacht; het heeft allemaal bijgedragen aan een onvergetelijke ervaring! Zeker een aanrader om hier meerdere nachten te verblijven. Op 30 minuten rijden heb je het la Mauricie National Parc, maar in de omgeving van de accommodatie heb je ook nog mooie wandelingen. Deze plek zou ik zeker nog een keer terug voor komen!. Niks!

“Un séjour inoubliable chez Père Castor”

Time seemed to stand still at the St. Roch mountain lodgings, where Michel’s clever ideas made the stay comfortable. Michel is the key person of the trip—sometimes a housekeeper, guide, cook, or even a boat captain—and we spent two nights there and already felt at home.
