The hotel sits just a block from our vet, and we had a 07:30 appointment for our pet, which was convenient. However, the train noise and the constant 24‑hour street noise were annoying, and at 03:00 people were loudly chatting around the pool right below our room. The $50 pet fee for one night felt steep; for two pets over four days that price doesn’t seem equitable, and the cost only appears when you book the room. We also found dog hair (not ours) and some nondescript particles in our bed; we brushed them out and slept, only noticing the full extent in the morning. The staff scolded us for not calling at 10:30 that night, and one manager said they would consider compensation, but because we booked through a third party they couldn’t offer any. Other properties I’ve booked through Booking have given me compensation.

The location is great and the staff are friendly. The room wasn’t what I expected for the price.

The outdoor pool and hot tub were great. The bathroom needed some drywall repair.

The bed was great and it’s a good base for exploring. It wasn’t very atmospheric.
