The place, the host’s responsiveness, everything was great!

Marie Galante is a peaceful and beautiful island. The cottage’s location is excellent, a very quiet and secure spot. The cottage is well designed and spacious. The outdoors is very pleasant; it would have been great if the pool were operational. Having a parking spot for the vehicle is a plus. The pool has been out of service for months, according to what I know on site. We were notified 48 hours before our stay; we chose this spot specifically for the pool, which spoiled part of our stay. A €20 compensation (derisory in light of the perceived damage) was supposed to be given but was not received because we allegedly planned to invite my son’s friends for his birthday, as we had booked for that occasion. We stayed 48 hours and couldn’t test other amenities (microwave, etc.). There was a lot of dust and the freezer and fridge were dirty. The fact that another cottage was attached to ours and the owners were on the plot. The garden furniture was worn; my son sat on one of the garden chairs and it broke under his weight.
Nice space. Respect for the client’s privacy. The pool is out of use. The access code for the cottage was not communicated. No on‑site contact for reception.

I had an excellent stay. The owners are very welcoming, kind, and always available. The cottage is clean, quiet, well maintained, and very pleasant. You feel at home there. I recommend this place without hesitation. Nothing special. Everything went very well.
