The bed was comfortable, but the worst accommodation of my entire Southeast Asian trip: the room smelled bad, the sheets and towels were dirty. The receptionist reluctantly swapped rooms, yet the new room was just as dusty. There are brothels in front.

The staff and air conditioning were excellent, but the bathroom was moldy and the shower and sink ran dirty brown water almost daily. The bed sheets weren’t changed for six days, and construction starts every day around 8 am, making it very noisy.

The accommodation was quite spacious, they provided water daily, the receptionist is very pleasant, and they offer laundry and reliable motorcycle rentals on site. Cleaning was thorough whenever I asked, with new sheets included. It can get pretty noisy at night, especially from the staff on the front desk and passing motorcycles. The bathroom sometimes smells and isn’t the most aesthetic.

The location itself is very good, right on the main street and close to the pier. On Koh Tao you’ll need a scooter anyway, so the spot isn’t that critical. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. A quick tip: if you want a room cleaned, just tell reception and leave the key there. We had a minor (tap water) issue during our stay, but it was quickly fixed. The street outside the room is quite loud, and the kitchen lacks basic utensils—there was no knife or spatula.
