The hotel is in a good location and the beach is just a one‑minute walk; everything else was good. The breakfast could offer more national food options.

“Puur ontspannen!”

We stayed here for a few days to recover from all the impressions of our tour around Thailand. For us, this hotel is perfect for that purpose! Everything is arranged to the finest detail, as you would expect from a 5‑star hotel. We enjoyed the beautiful spacious rooms with a door between them—ideal for families—, the delicious breakfast, the pool with a cocktail bar, and the massage (extra charge). It was wonderfully relaxing! The nearby area isn’t really picturesque, but that doesn’t matter because the resort has everything you need. Nearby there is a small harbor with a great seafood restaurant (Shell Tangkay); we ate there two evenings and had a wonderful time.

The rooms were clean, the food tasted good and the breakfast staff were really helpful, yet the “Connect” room’s hair‑dryer didn’t work at all, another room had terrible wiring and the water wouldn’t drain, leaving a foul smell that kept me from sleeping; I had to wade through standing water to shower, and the staff finally moved us to a new room in the morning. Both rooms had a pool right outside, which was a nice touch, but late at night foreign guests were noisy from 4 am onward. We called the front desk twice and waited over half an hour before a security guard arrived, yet nothing was resolved, so we had to knock on the noisy room ourselves. Some staff members seemed indifferent, claiming other rooms hadn’t reported the noise, but they offered a checkout at 13:30 and a 40 % discount voucher for a future stay. In the evening, the restaurant staff answered guest questions with a dismissive tone, saying they didn’t know, showing the same lack of service mindset.

Everything except the location was fine, but it was too far from the city center.

The room was reasonably clean, offered a welcome drink and an afternoon tea set, and the staff and atmosphere were fine; however, the bathtub was dirty, cockroaches appeared at night, the pool villa V01 was right next to a walkway and a shrine’s pond, and the beach in the morning was littered with trash and not suitable for swimming.
