1 double bed
1 single bed
“Excellent! Bonus with the food and the thai tea on the 1st floor.”
This stay is officially my favourite of all trips to Bangkok. The room is so clean, with big windows, a private view, and a convenient location. It’s comfortable enough to stay in or walk out. The air con drips a bit of water, but I don’t mind. The first floor is a cafe with excellent drinks and food, but because it saves on air con, it can feel a bit hot at times.
Chosen for its proximity to the train station, this hotel/café is cute. I had a single room but it was big enough for my luggage and to hang my stuff. The room was quiet. I was welcomed with a small bottle of fresh water, in addition to the two in the room. A deposit of 500B is requested upon arrival and returned at departure if everything is left as it was. The three steep stairs to reach the room.
The location was chosen because of the train station and Chinatown. Early in the morning a rooster crowed in the courtyard of the hotel, something you wouldn't expect in the middle of Bangkok.
Cleaning and reception woman.
Whenever anything else goes wrong, I always look forward to staying at Baan Wualamphong. Finding decent yet affordable accommodation in downtown Bangkok is getting harder, so the single room offers plenty of space and remains good value for money, with decent furnishings. The room is quiet, has a view, the air conditioning works perfectly, and the bed is comfortable. The guest house is linked to the nearby 511Cafe, the best eatery in the area, just 150 m away. The food is good, and if you prefer, you can order from the hotel and the friendly staff will deliver it to you. The reception bar makes tea, coffee, soda, fruit drinks, and serves cold beer.
