It’s wonderful that such dreamy places still exist. The comfortable and well‑maintained bungalows provide everything you need for a relaxed, hassle‑free stay with plenty of privacy. Gop, Nico, and the entire Dugong team are incredibly warm and helpful hosts, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A special highlight is the daily culinary delights lovingly prepared for us—simply “mahasajan.” It’s an oasis for well‑being, relaxation, and enjoyment. We’ll gladly return.

The place was fine, because we didn’t actually stay overnight. One bungalow smelled so bad of mold that we couldn’t/wouldn’t stay there. See the above answer.

“erholsamer Barfußurlaub - ertspannter geht es kaum”

I can’t even say where to start—everything just fit. We felt like we’d booked a villa with a private beach. When two people passed by us each day, that was a lot. The bungalow had a nice terrace with sea view, a fridge, and an air‑conditioner that didn’t bother us while sleeping (most A/C units point straight at the bed—here someone thought differently ;o)). Two lounge chairs with cushions under shady trees and a hammock were also available. We really enjoyed the quiet and could recover well. We didn’t see the island—we just hopped between the beach villa and the bar several times a day, because we also had breakfast and dinner there. Everything tasted fantastic. Price and value were excellent. I liked that fresh fish was brought and cooked for us—so delicious! The owner of the small resort and her staff were exceptionally friendly and have played a big part in making Dugang one of our dream destinations, which we’d love to visit again—hopefully the chickens will keep the bar seats free for us ;o). At low tide, you couldn’t swim and the water is—blamed on the river inlet—cloudier than you’d expect from other Andaman islands.

“Sehr ruhiger schöner Ort zum herunterfahren”

A simple, cozy bungalow right in the middle of the forest, surprisingly spacious with a kitchen. We did spot a few ants, but Nico handled them quickly—thanks a lot, we’ll definitely return. The restaurant food is great, and you can even book motorcycles directly through Nico. Aside from a few minor issues, we liked the place a lot; the only downside is that during low tide it’s hard to swim.
