The location was very quiet with a fantastic view, yet the beds were too hard for us and our iron bed squeaked with every movement—bring earplugs.

The surroundings and pool were nice, but the main host at reception, the restaurant, and the bar seemed quite moody—probably end‑of‑season fatigue. Even at check‑in we felt rushed, and the staff were unkind or annoyed when serving breakfast and dinner. The restaurant’s pasta and fish were well prepared and the wine list was truly excellent, yet the sauces were a major disappointment; almost every sauce, and even the purée, was thickened with cornstarch or potato starch, giving the dishes a heavy, artificial texture. The orecchiette with turnip greens was especially disappointing—the sauce lacked flavour and balance entirely. The zucchini that followed was served cold and oddly tasted strongly of fish, which was bad for me since I don’t eat fish.
