There are parking spots right inside the hotel, and it’s very quiet. The cleaning staff didn’t empty the bathroom trash bins.

The room had no air conditioning, so it was very hot even though the hotel provided a fan.

I couldn’t enjoy it because of the receptionist, the most rude person I’ve ever seen. The treatment from the receptionist was absolutely unacceptable and, after staying in more than 50 hotels, I can say I had never been treated with such disrespect. My parents arrived before me while I was parking. When trying to check in a computer/internet problem at reception prevented the process. My mother called to inform me of the situation and when I arrived the receptionist was already extremely upset and addressed my parents in a totally disrespectful way. I tried to calm the situation and solve it peacefully, but it was impossible. The receptionist kept arguing and insulting them. My parents even decided to leave the hotel to avoid the situation escalating, but she continued the confrontation. At every moment I tried to stay calm and resolve the issue. Finally I told her she couldn’t treat my parents like that and to relax. We decided to leave and come back later to check in, but then something even more surreal happened: the receptionist kicked us out of the hotel and followed us to the exit while calling us “crazy”. A technical problem during check‑in can be understood. What cannot be accepted is that a hotel employee loses respect for guests, refuses to calm a situation and ends up expelling them while insulting them. As a result we had to find another accommodation and ended up at Hotel Nueva Plaza, a few meters away, where the treatment was completely different and exemplary. I do not recommend this hotel at all. One thing is having a technical issue during check‑in and another very different thing is making guests feel unwelcome and treating them that way.

The location is good, but the mattress is a spring bag.

The location is very good for visiting Santander and the surroundings. If you have a problem opening the door with the card, the phone answer is literally that they are three hours away, that you should be a bit clever, that if a small woman comes to open it she knows and you don’t, and that it’s quick because she only has 1 % battery left. Finally we managed to open it without them having to come; it was solved with great ease but the procedures need to improve for future mishaps. I understand that the room wasn’t fixed because they couldn’t get in either… In breakfast there was a lack of staff and a somewhat sad service, there are cafés nearby with better quality/price. Reception is non‑existent, everyone leaves the cards at the counter. Apart from that, all other days everything was correct, a shame that this incident stains it.
