The special treatment I received, they gave me a better room than the one I chose as a courtesy, Jonathan, Don Raul and everyone else. Thank you for the great attention. The place, beautiful as always. What I didn’t like was that I couldn’t have more time to enjoy it.

We were blown away by Pacaya Lodge from the moment we arrived. The vistas are absolutely stunning, breakfast each morning was tasty, and the infinity pool with a lagoon view is breathtaking. The rooms were gorgeous, cozy, and came with a lovely balcony. What really set our experience apart was Jonathon—his professionalism, tailored service, and genuinely warm, enthusiastic demeanor were outstanding. He went the extra mile to welcome us, and his attentiveness left a lasting mark. He’s a real asset to the hotel. We also appreciated the chance to tour the local high school sponsored by Pacaya Lodge; seeing how the hotel supports the community added depth to our visit and made us value its mission even more. A 10/10 hotel with spectacular views, exceptional hospitality, and a meaningful purpose—what else could you want? We can’t recommend Pacaya Lodge enough and would love to come back.

We stayed for two nights on our honeymoon in Nicaragua. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views and a hammock overlooking Laguna Apoyo. Every staff member was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the restaurant food was fantastic—we dined there twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The pool area was a lovely spot for a sunset cocktail. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it! P.S. I’d also strongly suggest spending a day at Casa Marimbe, which Hotel Pacaya arranged a 15‑minute taxi for. The only downside was that there were only four sun loungers for a relatively large hotel; perhaps the hotel could add a few more.

Very quiet and cozy. Pleasant climate. Beautiful view and attentive staff. The pool is extremely small. The TVs in the two rooms I rented were not working. It’s hard to find the hotel; there’s no signage on the roads or in the town.
