La terrazza nel borgo

The location is very quiet, in a now partly deserted part of the village of Tortora, which makes it a great compromise for those who want to reach seaside towns (Lido di Tortora, Praia a mare, Maratea) quickly while still enjoying some peace without getting lost in the bustle of summer beach towns. The entrepreneurial courage of the hosts, who invested in a place where few would have risked capital, is also worth appreciating.

Breakfast was excellent on a terrace with a view, and the quiet surroundings plus the warm hospitality made it great, though the stay itself was very short.

The accommodation was fantastic, the hosts were wonderfully kind and did everything to make us feel comfortable, the breakfast was great, the location right in the middle of town, and there were good restaurants nearby.

Lidia and Michele are perfect hosts! Tortora’s old town is wonderful, a true southern Italian paradise that you’ll miss if you skip it. I recommend it to anyone traveling there; it will be one of the most beautiful memories of our trips. The homemade breakfast was very tasty, and Lidia made sure we had something to eat early since we were leaving early. We’re very grateful for everything we received here.

I was immersed in a village that isn’t overly touristy, the apartment was comfortable, the owners were extremely friendly and helpful, the sweet breakfast was fabulous, and each day it was different.
