Located in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, Hostal Portugal sits less than 200 m from Las Ramblas and 700 m from the Cathedral. Rooms feature parquet floors, light décor, TV, and free Wi‑Fi; some include private bathrooms and balconies. A 24‑hour reception, proximity to Plaza Reial nightlife, Barcelona Port, and Drassanes Metro (two stops to Plaza de Catalunya) enhance convenience.

Don’t judge a book by its cover – you get: 1) your own privacy, bathroom included 2) AC 3) great location 4) they clean daily 5) the staff is super nice and helpful 6) great price, because some hostels in Barcelona would charge the same for 1 bed in a 24 bed jungle. I can’t wait to come again here, Barcelona is an amazing city!

Great location, room had everything I needed and even came with a small outside space; basic but perfect for solo travellers or down-to-earth couples for a weekend trip. Location is excellent and close to public transport, sights, and bars/restaurants. includes 24h reception. I would stay there again. Interior is a bit dated and property has rustic charm but completely fine
