“Unterkunft super (wenn man kein Internet braucht), Gegend aber nicht so spannend”

The location near the lighthouse was good, the bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. Free Wi‑Fi was advertised, but it never worked; using mobile data was also very bad. The area isn’t spectacular except for the lighthouse, so a day trip might be better.

The room, the fruit juice on arrival, it was hot that day, so it was wonderfully refreshing. The fan, AC, the view, the monkeys and peacocks— they can cook dinner on request, but it was only curry chicken or fried rice chicken, which was great. We asked for fish the next evening, she said yes, but the dinner was chicken… we laughed… she said “good good?” we said yes good good but no fish? She said good! The language barrier… but the food was very good. Breakfasts… we tried all the Sri Lankan dishes in the morning… lol, hoopers curd with honey, pancakes with coconut jam, curry chicken… yes in the morning lol, fruit, eggs in square bread. It was too much for us, but we thought she brought back the dishes we hadn’t touched to the table. Nothing, they were always attentive; I recommend it 100%—a very calm and authentic place!

It’s a cozy spot, very close to the lighthouse—Dondara Point—closer to a lovely beach. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Nothing.

“Very comfortable”

I was blown away by how comfy the room felt, it was spotless and snug with a lovely ocean view. The family were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the optional breakfast was tasty. The spot is right near the lighthouse and there's a charming treehouse bar by the beach.
