“Not the serene experience I was hoping for but I do feel the mgmt wants to do right by their guests.”

The building and furnishings were lovely, and the room was spacious with a nice tree view. However, we found half‑eaten plates and leftover drinks scattered in the common area, as if a party had just ended and no one had cleaned up. The same party returned at 2 am, causing a lot of noise. Since it’s a self‑serve property, there was no staff on site to tidy or curb the late‑night revelry. I texted management with photos but got no reply. My partner texted at 2 am and someone eventually came to calm the partygoers. I expected a calmer stay. Afterward, the property contacted me, acknowledging the issue and promising to prevent it in the future, which I appreciated.

“Comfortable, gracious, spacious and convenient”

This historic home offered large rooms and convenient access off Hwy 68, and the hosts—especially the mascot Tuffy—were very welcoming. I just wished there had been an upholstered chair in the room for reading.
