The property had a roadside station and a day‑use hot‑bath nearby, a camper‑van parking lot, and a restaurant inside the fishing port. I was shown to a room on the second floor, but the toilet and shared bath were on the first floor and smelled moldy, which made me question the quality of the accommodation.

The staff were kind and charming, and the wooden structure gave the place a lovely atmosphere. It was very comfortable, though the old building would sway a bit when a truck passed in front of it, and I was stuck without a hair dryer.

The owner’s surprise tea ceremony greeting was a highlight of the trip, and I can’t say enough how wonderful and helpful she was; this stay will stay with me for a long time because the place itself was so cool and unusual. It felt a bit pricey for a no‑meals stay.
