“If you don't mind paying up, this is the RIGHT place to stay”
The hospitality at the lodge was excellent. Eric, our driver and guide, was amazing—he could spot animals from miles away. Olare Mara only has a handful of leopards (4 to 5), but Eric ran to the hotel to pick us up from breakfast when he knew a leopard had been sighted, and he drove us quickly to the spot. We saw the leopard with its cub, an unforgettable experience. The lodge’s location is spectacular; if I’m not mistaken, Olare Mara has the highest density of cats, and I can vouch for that. On the downside, the place is definitely pricey—significantly so. Nothing about the experience disappointed me, but it does cost a lot. There’s also a conservancy fee on top of the room rate. For two people, it’s $260 per night.

Geweldige lodge! Schoon, prachtige locatie, heerlijk eten en vriendelijk personeel. Game drives met Ben waren top. Elke avond legde Jackson een warme kruik in bed. Echt fantastisch verblijf!

Everything was great: the staff were friendly, the food was tasty, the guides were knowledgeable, the tents were comfortable and elegant, and there were so many beautiful animals—overall, an excellent stay.
