At Kamala Hotel

The location is great, close to restaurants and shopping, and a very short walk to the beach. A table in front of the sofa would have been nice, and extra hooks for hanging clothes and bags were missing.

The hotel is in a prime spot near the bustling part of town and a 3‑minute walk to the beach, rooms are spotless and comfy, and the staff are friendly but not always present. When I arrived, there was no sign indicating where the reception was; a sign on a light pole existed, but the entrance lies past a seafood restaurant and you must pass through Sync coffee shop to find a small desk at the back, which was inconvenient after a long flight. The biggest annoyance was the absence of a pool—though the booking site didn’t list one, the photos showed sun chairs, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower, strongly implying a pool. Carrying suitcases up the stairs (no lift) was a challenge, though the building only has a few floors.

The location by the river is superb, the swimming pool is loved, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, with nothing to criticize.

The breakfast was excellent, the place was spotless and quiet, and there were plenty of cafés and the beach just nearby.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, but the real standout was the breakfast - it was absolutely excellent. The hotel itself is in a great location, just a short walk from the beach and with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
