Great location for the dragon’s back walk and heading into Brecon, and the hosts were lovely. We happened on the karaoke night on Saturday, which was a bit unfortunate (I slept through it but my husband didn’t!). Also noticed the next day that the bathroom needed a bit of a clean—though we would have mentioned that if we’d stayed the second night. In the end, Bob’s knee hurt, so we moved on to find somewhere he could swim to do a bit of rehab, so it didn’t matter.

The spot was spot on, and the breakfast was plenty and tasty, but the supper options felt too traditional—no lamb at all, which was odd given we were in a prime sheep‑farming area.

Julie and her husband welcomed everyone with genuine warmth and an open heart; the view was stunning, the fish and chips were tasty, and the beds were super comfy. I’d love to return. The only downside was the tiny sink in the room, but that was still acceptable.
