“Lieblingsort und tollster Gastgeber unserer Reise!!”

We spotted hummingbirds, butterflies, even a snake, and the peace was unbeatable. The meals were delicious, coffee and regional cheese were great, and the view at night – starry sky and fireflies – was magical. The gravel road made us rent a 4x4, but it was worth it. Gilberth’s hospitality, the simple cabins with comfy beds, and the free‑flowing honesty bar made the whole stay feel like a true adventure, and the rafting tour on the Rio Pacuare was a highlight. We’ll definitely come back.

“Adventure in nature”

Gilberto is a real gem of a host – the dinner was tasty, breakfast was fresh with homemade oat porridge and fruit. The place feels tucked away in nature, with amazing birdlife and a cozy vibe, but if it rains the dirt roads get tricky. You'll need a high‑clearance or 4WD to get there, and there's no Wi‑Fi, so bring cash.

“Kleine aber sehr persönlich geführte Lodge”

Gilbert welcomed us with a smile and cooked the meals himself, letting us pick meat or fish. The food was excellent, the view was great on sunny days, and the pool and jacuzzi were worth a dip. The only downside was the access road – a natural dirt track that got muddy in November’s heavy rain, making it hard to drive.

Gilberth ist ein sehr herzlicher Mensch. Wir können die Unterkunft und das gute Essen sehr empfehlen. Bestellt zum Frühstück unbedingt Porridge. Das beste Frühstück unserer Reise. Der Kaffe ebenfalls sehr gut
